Circular to Banks Operating in the Kingdom
Greetings,
It has been observed recently that a number of foreign companies not registered with the Companies Control Department and not licensed to operate within the Kingdom are maintaining accounts with some banks operating in the Kingdom and are conducting their activities through these accounts.
Please alert the concerned parties in your institutions to the necessity of verifying whether the establishment of such accounts or the conduct of any transactions in the Kingdom by such companies complies with the prevailing laws and legislation, before opening any accounts for them, taking into account the nature of the operations executed through the accounts.
Please accept the highest assurances of respect,
Governor
Dr. Ziad Friez
