The Central Bank of Jordan amends Instruction No. 35/2007 regarding internal control and supervision systems to mandate specific technical standards for surveillance cameras, alarm devices, and communication networks linked to police operations or licensed early warning stations. The amendment requires banks and branches to maintain minimum video retention periods of 180 days for interior areas, 90 days for ATM interiors and surroundings, and 30 days for exterior areas, alongside requirements for high-definition recording, synchronized local time, and annual backup copies. This directive becomes effective immediately and repeals Circulars No. 10/2/7738 dated July 23, 2008, and No. 10/2/1495 dated February 2, 2011.
