Licensed banks are required to ensure that employees take annual leave in continuous periods of at least one week per year. During this leave, banks must not contact employees and employees must not enter the bank except for compelling and justified reasons. Circular to Licensed Banks
Greetings,
Recent inspection rounds on a number of banks revealed that some employees in these banks did not take connected leave for a period of (14) days. Therefore, and given the importance of this matter in improving the regulatory environment in banks and subsequently the Internal Control and Supervision Instructions No. (35 / 2007) dated 10 / 6 / 2007, it has been decided that all banks must take the necessary measures to ensure that their employees utilize their annual leave in connected periods of no less than one week during the year. This must be accompanied by a commitment throughout the duration of the leave not to contact the employee by any means, as well as ensuring that the employee on leave does not enter the bank except for compelling and justified circumstances. The bank's internal audit department must verify compliance with this.
Please accept our highest respect,
The Governor
Dr. Ziad Friez
