Rule · CBJ · 2 Mar 2016
Licensed banks are required to obtain verification from the Jordan Institute of Certified Public Accountants confirming the authenticity of the statutory auditor's signature on customers' financial statements. This mandate supplements previous directives requiring the use of financial data audited by a legal auditor for credit decisions. The requirement applies to all licensed banks when making credit decisions.
