Greetings,

Following our letter No. (10 / 2 / 2 / 19297) dated 4 / 11 / 1999, which included the amendment of the form regarding the financial status of ministries, government institutions, and other institutions.

And based on the provisions of Article (45) of the Central Bank Law No. (23) of 1971 and its amendments, and the provisions of Article (69) of the Banks Law No. (28) of 2000, please proceed with the following:

• Reclassify the accounts of the Electricity Regulatory Commission from public institutions to government institutions with independent budgets under No. (22 / 951).

• Add the accounts of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to the central government accounts within the budget under No. (11 / 541).

• Reclassify the accounts of the General Environmental Protection Authority from government institutions with an independent budget to the central government accounts within the budget under the name of the Ministry of Environment and under No. (11 / 551).

• Reclassify the accounts of the Tourism Revitalization Authority from the private sector accounts to the central government accounts with independent budgets under No. (22 / 961).

• Add the accounts of Al-Hussein bin Talal University to public institutions under No. (55 / 1183).

• Add the accounts of the Hashemite University to public institution accounts under No. (55 / 1184).

• Ensure that the accounts of Al-Zarqa Private University are classified within the private sector.

Please confirm the necessity of strict compliance with what is stated in this memorandum and exercising utmost accuracy when preparing the required financial data according to the new classification bases, effective from the financial data for the month of April / 2004.
