The Central Bank of Jordan mandates licensed banks to reclassify specific accounts, identified by codes 1231/55 through 1339/55, as private sector accounts rather than public institution accounts. This reclassification applies to various university, military, and government employee funds, including savings, housing, and end-of-service compensation accounts. Banks are required to report data according to this new classification starting with the financial statements for July 2010.
