Circular to Licensed Banks
Greetings,
It has recently come to our attention that some banks have been subjected to fraud and/or electronic hacking due to weaknesses in the controls that should be present in their systems. Therefore, and with the Central Bank of Jordan’s keen interest in the safety of financial transactions executed by banks through electronic means and the security of their information systems, we request that you emphasize the necessity of complying with the provisions of our instructions and circulars issued on this subject. You are also requested to give the utmost importance to the safety of protection systems for electronic transactions, in order to safeguard the rights of the Bank and its clients, and to inform us and the relevant security authorities of any case of fraud or hacking encountered.
Please accept our highest regards.
