The Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina updates the reserve requirements for financial entities by replacing section 1.3 of the Minimum Cash rules with new percentage rates effective July 1, 2016. These new rates apply to various deposit categories, including current accounts, savings, fixed-term deposits, and debt securities, differentiated by currency and maturity. For the interim period between June 1 and June 30, 2016, entities must apply specific transitional rates that differ from the new standard. The circular also notes that replacement pages for the regulatory text will be provided subsequently.
