Rule · BCRA · 29 Jul 1998 · A 2744
Exchange houses, agencies, offices, and brokers must maintain minimum net worth and constitute guarantees of $50,000 or $10,000 respectively, increasing capital by 10% per branch. Guarantees may be securities pledged to Caja de Valores S.A., fixed-term deposits from rated banks, or third-party guarantees sent to the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic. Annual financial reports require specific auditor opinions on net worth, accounting compliance, social security data, and anti-money laundering adherence. Non-compliance with capital or guarantee rules triggers a 30-day suspension of authorization, potentially leading to revocation if unresolved.
