Circular SGDB No. 017/2018: Interconnection and Interoperability for Electronic Fund Transfer Orders

The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that all Financial Intermediation Entities participating in the Integrated Payments System (LIP) must connect to the Deferred Settlement Module (MLD) or a Compensation and Settlement Chamber by October 12, 2018. This connection is required to offer Electronic Fund Transfer Orders (OETF) services to account holders for transfers across the entire financial system. The circular establishes a specific timeline for contract signing, system testing, and verification, with the Financial System Supervision Authority empowered to apply measures against non-compliant entities.
