Circular to Banks No. 2026-08 of September 1, 2026 - Honor Loans and Financing
The Central Bank of Tunisia establishes regulatory procedures for the granting of honor loans and financing under Decree No. 2026-148, requiring banks to use an exclusive electronic platform for applications and to verify applicant credit status in the central information bureau before disbursement. Banks must submit monthly reports on honor financing lines, detailing outstanding and unutilized amounts by governorate and borrower category, within fifteen days of the end of each month. The circular defines specific credit codes for reporting and sets the effective date for these measures as October 1, 2026.
