As communicated in the aforementioned Circular, the Authority, together with the CBM has streamlined the collection and reporting processes of the Statutory Financial Information to be submitted by Credit Institutions under the national statutory framework of Malta (CBMCIR). Following these changes, the Authority wishes to inform supervised entities subject to these reporting requirements that the mailbox bankingoffsite@mfsa.mt will be permanently decommissioned. Since the reporting requirements under BR/06 were repealed and the relevant data is now received directly through established reporting channels, the continued use of this mailbox is no longer necessary. Its closure will simplify communication channels, reduce the risk of misdirected submissions, and ensure that queries and reporting matters are directed through the appropriate channels.
