Circular to Financial Institutions outlining COVID-19 measures on Timing of Statutory Reporting
The MFSA grants Financial Institutions authorised under the Financial Institutions Act an additional month to submit statutory reporting with a reference date of end-March 2020. The remittance date for financial and statistical information data requirements pursuant to BD/06, other Banking Rules data requirements, and specific prudential data requirements is set to 15 May 2020. Postponement applies only to these specific obligations for the end-March 2020 reference period, with further extensions potentially granted based on ongoing monitoring. Timeframes for resubmissions to correct data quality issues will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis and communicated bilaterally.
