Circular to the Industry on the Publication of the MiCA XBRL Taxonomy
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2984 enters into application on 23 December 2025, mandating the use of the ESMA-published MiCA XBRL taxonomy for crypto-asset white papers. All persons preparing white papers for asset-referenced tokens, e-money tokens, or other crypto-assets must ensure submissions comply with technical requirements including the use of XHTML format with embedded Inline XBRL tags and standardised templates. Entities are required to adhere to these machine-readability standards and prescribed templates under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Rulebook.
