Circular: VFA Agents Approved Courses

The Malta Financial Services Authority approves the 'Virtual Financial Assets for VFA Agents Programme' by the Malta Institute of Management, commencing on 5 December 2018, as a course satisfying competence requirements for Proposed Persons under R1-2.2.3.3 of the Virtual Financial Assets Rulebook. Proposed Persons must successfully complete an approved course and pass a mandatory interview and further assessment to be deemed competent; no registration is granted before the minimum number of persons specified in the Rules satisfy these requirements. Training providers may submit requests for course approval to the Authority, providing course content and certification award mechanism details. Persons availing themselves of the one-month transitory period under Article 62(1)(b) of the Act must submit their registration application by no later than 30 November 2018.
