Rule · BCB · 22 Dec 1988 · Resolução CMN 1552
Financial institutions, travel agencies, and accommodation tourism intermediaries must obtain Central Bank accreditation to trade traveler’s foreign exchange at freely agreed rates. They must register operations separately from administered segments, with non-banks electing a centralizing bank for daily SISBACEN reporting of prior day transactions. The Resolution cancels Resolutions Nos. 98, 759, 1,500, 1,514, and 1,542, replacing them upon Central Bank regulation.
