Rule · BCB · 24 Feb 2000 · Resolução CMN 2697
Financial institutions must classify credit operations by risk level based on client liability thresholds. Operations with liabilities of R$500,000 or more must be classified by March 31, 2000, while those between R$50,000 and R$500,000 must be classified by July 31, 2000. Operations under R$50,000 may use internal models but must be at least risk level A. Institutions must disclose portfolio composition in financial statement notes, segregating performing credits with delays under 15 days from past due credits with delays of 15 days or more.
