Rule · BCB · 28 Jul 2016 · Resolução CMN 4507
Financial institutions may refinance eligible rural producer operations contracted by December 31, 2015, subject to BNDES approval. Refinancing is restricted to one per operation, excluding those with FGI guarantees, in grace periods, or with less than six months remaining. Specific amortization installments may be refinanced based on remaining terms: for monthly periodicity, up to 24 installments if remaining terms are 24 or more, up to 12 if between 12 and 23, and up to 6 if fewer than 12. Semi-annual and annual operations allow refinancing of the first 1-4 or 1-2 installments respectively. The new sub-credit value is deducted from the original balance on the 15th day of approval, with original interest continuing during the refinanced period.
