RESOLUTION
CMN NO. 4,998, OF MARCH 24, 2022
Regulates the refund of values credited unduly due to death, in favor of deceased natural persons, in institutions integrated into the National Financial System, by internal public law legal entities, in accordance with Law No. 13,846, of June 18, 2019.
The Central Bank of Brazil, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, makes public that the National Monetary Council, in a session held on March 24, 2022, considering the provisions of Section 5 of Article 36 of Law No. 13,846, of June 18, 2019,
R E S O L V E S:
Article 1. The refund procedure, by institutions integrated into the National Financial System, to the internal public law legal entity, of values credited unduly due to death, shall observe the provisions of Article 36 of Law No. 13,846, of June 18, 2019.
Sole Paragraph. The following do not apply to the procedure referred to in the caput:
I - Section 1 of Article 5 of Resolution No. 3,402, of September 6, 2006; and
II - Article 3 of Resolution No. 4,790, of March 26, 2020.
Article 2. Resolution No. 4,708, of January 31, 2019, is revoked.
Article 3. This Resolution enters into force on May 2, 2022.
