This resolution amends CMN Resolution No. 5,140 to restrict financing lines funded by the Social Fund surplus to borrowers located in federative entities with a public calamity state recognized by the National Congress and suffering material losses in georeferenced areas affected by extreme weather events. It updates Article 1 to specify that BNDES or authorized institutions grant these loans, assuming all risks including credit risk, and modifies Article 4 to limit eligibility to applications filed within twelve months of the calamity recognition. The resolution also repeals the sole paragraph of Article 4 of the original resolution and establishes that the new rules take effect upon publication.
