CMN Resolution No. 5,175 — Adjusts norms of Section 7 (RenovAgro) and Section 9 (PCA) of Chapter 11 (InvestAgro) of the Rural Credit Manual

CMN RESOLUTION NO. 5,175, OF SEPTEMBER 26, 2024

Adjusts norms of Section 7 (Program for Financing Sustainable Agricultural and Livestock Production Systems – RenovAgro) and Section 9 (Program for Construction and Expansion of Warehouses – PCA) of Chapter 11 (Agricultural Investment Programs – InvestAgro) of the Rural Credit Manual – MCR.

The Central Bank of Brazil, in accordance with Art. 9 of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, makes public that the Monetary National Council, in a session held on September 26, 2024, in accordance with Art. 4, caput, item VI, of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, and Arts. 4 and 14 of Law No. 4,829, of November 5, 1965,

RESOLVES:

Art. 1 Section 7 (Program for Financing Sustainable Agricultural and Livestock Production Systems – RenovAgro) of Chapter 11 (Agricultural Investment Programs – InvestAgro) of the Rural Credit Manual – MCR shall enter into force with the following alterations:

• implantation of nurseries for forest seedlings, and açaí, cocoa, olive, walnut, and palm species;

• up to 12 (twelve) years, with a grace period of up to 8 (eight) years, not exceeding 6 (six) months from the date of the first cut or harvest, when referring to projects for the implantation and maintenance of commercial forests and for the production of charcoal, projects for the implantation and maintenance of palm, açaí, cocoa, olive, and walnut forests, and projects for the recomposition and maintenance of areas of permanent preservation or legal reserve;

Art. 2 Section 9 (Program for Construction and Expansion of Warehouses – PCA) of Chapter 11 of the MCR shall enter into force with the following alterations:

a) credit objective: to support investments necessary for the expansion, modernization, renovation, and construction of warehouses and cold rooms;

b) covers only projects for the expansion, modernization, renovation, and construction of warehouses and cold rooms intended for the storage of grains, fruits, tubers, bulbs, vegetables, fibers, and sugar.” (NR)

Art. 3 This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
