CMN Resolution No. 5,210 amends the Rural Credit Manual (MCR) by establishing a calculation base for LCA resource direction that deducts R$500 million from the arithmetic mean of daily LCA balances, and grants exemption from direction obligations to financial institutions with calculated obligations of R$10 million or less. The resolution revokes previous items 3, 4 (sub-items a and b), and 5 of Section 7 of Chapter 6 of the MCR, as well as specific provisions regarding cooperative credit resource transfers and compliance costs that were previously revoked by Resolution No. 5,216. These changes apply to credit cooperatives within cooperative systems and other financial institutions raising resources through LCA issuance. The resolution enters into force on July 1, 2025.
