CMN RESOLUTION NO. 5,170, OF AUGUST 22, 2024

Adjusts the weighting factor applicable to financing operations supported by the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture – Pronaf, as governed by MCR 6-2-12.

The Central Bank of Brazil, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, makes public that the Monetary Council, in a session held on August 22, 2024, considering the provisions of Article 4, caput, item VI, of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, and Articles 4, 14, and 21 of Law No. 4,829 of November 5, 1965,

RESOLVES:

Article 1. Section 2 (Mandatory) of Chapter 6 (Resources) of the Rural Credit Manual – MCR shall be amended as follows:

“12 - For the purpose of compliance with the Pronaf Sub-requirement, the value corresponding to the daily average balance of financing operations supported by Pronaf, contracted from July 1, 2024 onwards, must be computed by multiplying them by 1.37 (one and thirty-seven hundredths) for financing destined for the purposes listed in MCR 7-6, Table 1 “Financial Charges for Financing Supported by the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf)”, Line “Credit for Financing (MCR 10-4)”, items 1 to 6, provided they are contracted with a fixed effective interest rate of up to 3% per annum (three percent per annum).” (NR)

Article 2. This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
