CMN Resolution No. 5246 — Establishes Procedure for Information Provision by Agents of the Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program Regarding Operations Subject to Contestation in Judicial Proceedings

CMN RESOLUTION NO. 5,246, OF AUGUST 28, 2025

Establishes procedure for information provision by agents of the Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program regarding operations subject to contestation in judicial proceedings.

The Central Bank of Brazil, in accordance with art. 9 of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, makes public that the National Monetary Council, in a session held on August 28, 2025, based on art. 4, caput, item VIII, of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, in arts. 59, 65-A and 66-A of Law No. 8,171, of January 17, 1991, and in art. 4 of Decree No. 175, of July 10, 1991, and taking into account the provisions of art. 37 of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964,

R E S O L V E S

Art. 1
Section 1 (General Provisions) of Chapter 12 (Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program – Proagro) of the Rural Credit Manual – MCR shall enter into force with the following alterations:

“12 - In judicial proceedings related to Proagro, the Central Bank of Brazil may determine that agents provide information on the operation subject to contestation, observed that:

a) the information must be provided in a standardized form to be made available by the Central Bank of Brazil; and

b) the agent must provide the information within the period established in the notification sent by the Central Bank of Brazil.” (NR)

Art.
2 This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
