The National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) released the 2024 Annual Panorama of Financial Inclusion, marking 15 years of annual statistical dissemination regarding Mexico's financial inclusion. The report highlights a 13 percent increase in deposit accounts to approximately 162.6 million contracts and a seven percent rise in individual loans to 70.6 million contracts driven by new popular financial societies. It also details that transaction volumes grew by 13 percent to 7.8 billion operations, while gender gap analysis shows women hold a slight advantage in account distribution but occupy only 33 percent of senior management positions within banks and popular savings and credit entities.
