Code of Corporate Governance

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Singapore Exchange (SGX) oversee the Code of Corporate Governance, which applies to listed companies on a comply-or-explain basis. MAS issued the revised 2018 Code to clarify governance standards and established the Corporate Governance Advisory Committee to advocate best practices and monitor international trends. The Code requires companies to disclose their governance practices and explain any deviations from the Code in their annual reports.
