: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/2354 on formats for submitting beneficial ownership information

Further to Circular C738, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (the ‘CySEC’) wishes to inform the Regulated Entities, that Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/2354 of 16 October 2026 on the formats for submitting beneficial ownership information was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 22 October 2026.

This Implementing Regulation lays down common formats for the submission of beneficial ownership information to central registers across the European Union, with the objective of enhancing data quality, consistency and interoperability among central registers of beneficial owners.

This Implementing Regulation shall apply from 10 July 2027 and shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.

Regulated Entities are encouraged to take into consideration the provisions of this Implementing Regulation, the text of which is available here.
