Compilation of Regulations and Control Norms of the Financial System – Resolutions of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Uruguay or of the Superintendence of Financial Services arising from supervision or audit acts – Modification

Ref: COMPILATION OF REGULATIONS AND CONTROL NORMS OF THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM – Resolutions of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Uruguay or of the Superintendence of Financial Services arising from supervision or audit acts – Modification.

The market is informed that the Superintendence of Financial Services adopted, on March 13, 2023, the following resolution:

1. REPEAL in CHAPTER XIII – CERTIFICATE OF SUPERVISION OR AUDIT ACTS, of TITLE II – INFORMATION REGIME, of PART I – FINANCIAL INTERMEDIATION INSTITUTIONS, of BOOK VI – INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION, of the Compilation of Regulations and Control Norms of the Financial System, Article 564.

2. REPEAL in CHAPTER VII – CERTIFICATE OF SUPERVISION OR AUDIT ACTS, of TITLE II – INFORMATION REGIME, of PART II – FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANIES AND EXCHANGE HOUSES, of BOOK VI – INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION, of the Compilation of Regulations and Control Norms of the Financial System, Article 615.

3. SUBSTITUTE in CHAPTER V – CERTIFICATE OF SUPERVISION OR AUDIT ACTS, of TITLE II – INFORMATION REGIME, of PART III – CREDIT ADMINISTERING COMPANIES, of BOOK VI – INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION, of the Compilation of Regulations and Control Norms of the Financial System, Article 642 with the following:

ARTICLE 642 (RESOLUTIONS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF URUGUAY OR OF THE SUPERINTENDENCE OF FINANCIAL SERVICES ARISING FROM SUPERVISION OR AUDIT ACTS).

The largest credit administering companies and the most active credit granting entities shall adhere to what is provided in Article 563.

VALIDITY: The modifications set forth above shall take effect from January 1, 2024.

4. REPEAL in TITLE II – INFORMATION REGIME, of PART IV – REPRESENTATIONS, of BOOK VI – INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION, of the Compilation of Regulations and Control Norms of the Financial System, Article 653.
