The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago reminds insurance companies and brokers of their obligation to submit three copies of audited accounts, balance sheets, and profit and loss accounts within six months of the close of each financial year. These accounts must be audited by a qualified auditor who certifies that books are properly kept and that all moneys received for insurers or insureds have been paid over. Failure to comply with these requirements results in the Central Bank's inability to process registration renewals and may lead to the termination of registration.
