This Council of Ministers' Decision replaces Article (59) of the Implementing Regulations of the Law on Combatting Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing. The amended article specifies the supervisory authorities responsible for overseeing compliance with anti-money laundering and terrorism financing requirements across various sectors. Notably, it designates the General Authority for Regulating the Real Estate Sector as the supervisory authority for real estate brokers. The decision also clarifies that any other legally authorized entity to regulate or supervise financial institutions, designated non-financial businesses and professions, or non-profit organizations is considered a supervisory authority. This Decision is effective from January 1, 2027.
