CP19/13: Recovering the costs of the Office for Professional Body Anti-Money-laundering Supervision (OPBAS): further consultation on fees structure

The Financial Conduct Authority is consulting on whether to amend the FEES handbook to remove the minimum fee threshold for Professional Body Supervisors (PBSs). The current structure charges a minimum fee of £5,000 plus a variable fee for individuals supervised above a threshold of 6,000, whereas the proposed alternative would apply a flat rate of £20.59 per supervised individual subject to a £5,000 minimum charge. The Authority requests comments and evidence on the impact of removing the threshold on the viability of PBSs and the individuals they supervise by 26 April 2019.
