CP26/15: Reviewing the financial promotions rules for consumer credit
The Financial Conduct Authority is consulting on removing several prescriptive rules and guidance within CONC 3 to simplify requirements and reduce overlap with the Consumer Duty. The proposals include minor amendments to CONC 3.3.1AG to reflect changes made by the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumer Act 2024. Additionally, the document discusses potential amendments to cost disclosure provisions, including the Annual Percentage Rate, to improve consumer understanding of credit costs. Stakeholders are invited to submit comments by 17 June 2026.
