Cross Border Directive
Only insurance agents and brokers registered in Namibia are permitted to carry on the business of an insurance agent or broker in Namibia. Foreign registered insurance agents or brokers are prohibited from conducting insurance business or giving advice in Namibia. This directive applies to all registered insurers, insurance agents, and brokers under the Long-term and Short-term Insurance Acts, but is not applicable to reinsurance business.
