Resident and non-resident entities must not execute foreign exchange operations requiring National Bank of Moldova (NBM) authorization before obtaining it, nor if subject to applicable international restrictive measures. They must ensure application data matches supporting documents and notify the NBM on the day of resuming activity. These obligations bind foreign exchange offices, hotels, and banks. The rules enter into force on 01.01.2026, replacing specific provisions in Decisions No 14/2009, No 51/2009, and No 216/2015.
