Decision on Putting into Circulation of 5‑Denar Coins

New 5‑denar coins bearing the minting sign “2024” and the features set out in the Decision on issuing and main features of 5‑denar coins shall be put into circulation starting 1 January 2025. Pursuant to Articles 25 paragraphs 1 and 3 and 47 paragraph 1 item 20 of the Law on the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 158/10, 123/12, 43/14, 153/15, 6/16 and 83/18 and Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 110/21 and 74/24), the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia Council has adopted the following DECISION on putting into circulation of coins in denomination of 5 denars

  1. This Decision shall put into circulation coins in denomination of 5 denars bearing
    the minting sign "2024" and with the features set out in the Decision on issuing and main features of coins in denomination of 5 denars (Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 149/21), starting from 1 January 2025.
  2. Coins in denomination of 5 denars issued in accordance with the Decision on issuing,
    denomination structure and main features of coins and banknotes (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 25/93) and the Decision on issuing and main features of coins in denomination of 5 denars (Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 149/21) remain in circulation in the cash payment operations in the Republic of North Macedonia.
  3. This decision shall enter into force on the eighth day of its publication in the Official
    Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia.
