Decree adding two paragraphs to Article 26 of the Law of the National System of Statistical and Geographic Information
This Decree adds two paragraphs to Article 26 of the Law of the National System of Statistical and Geographic Information, mandating the National Institute of Statistics and Geography to issue an official map of the Mexican Republic that includes Mexican marine zones. Competent authorities in territorial limits must provide the necessary information to the Institute, while boundary conflicts are to be resolved through competent instances. The official map will be published once boundary procedures before national and international instances are concluded, subject to budget availability, and the Decree enters into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
