Definition of Sanctionable Legal Entities
Sanctionable legal entities encompass not only those defined in the Dutch Civil Code, such as private and public limited companies, associations, and foundations, but also commercial and professional partnerships, shipping companies, and special-purpose funds. Consequently, if any of these entities commits an offence, its de facto director may be fined. This fine may be imposed on either a natural person or a legal entity.
