DFIM Circular Letter No. 06: Closure of financial institutions on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and fixing the post Eid office time table
All financial institutions operating in Bangladesh are ordered to remain closed for four days, from April 20 to April 23, 2023, in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr. Following the closure period, institutions must resume operations on a weekly schedule from Sunday to Thursday, with office hours set from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while Friday and Saturday remain weekly holidays. This directive is issued under the powers conferred by Section 18(6) of the Financial Institutions Act, 1993.
