DID Circular No. 01: Regarding Submission of Information for Deposit Insurance Premium Assessment

All scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh must submit deposit insurance premium assessment information and pay premiums by specific deadlines, consolidating previous circulars. Information based on December 31 balances for the January-June half-year is due by January 31, and information based on June 30 balances for the July-December half-year is due by July 31. Failure to submit correct information or pay premiums within 10 days of notification will incur fines under the Bank Company Act, 1991, or result in the premium being debited from the bank's current account with penal interest, or a directive to cease deposit acceptance. This master circular is effective from the January-June 2024 half-year.
