The Securities and Exchange Commission, under the powers conferred by Section 20A of the Securities and Exchange Ordinance 1969, hereby issues the following directives for all listed companies:
Companies shall, under Section 155 of the Companies Act 1994, resolve all complaints submitted by members (who are entitled to receive the right offer document) within sixty (60) days, including new complaints received between the existing and prescribed timeframes, and inform the Commission thereof. After the expiration of the said sixty (60) days, the unclaimed shares shall be deposited with the Commission as directed by the Commission's order.
It is noted that any uncertain objections in the future must be resolved at the aforementioned stage, and for those members entitled to right shares who raise objections after the issuance of this directive, the resolution must be completed within sixty (60) days from the date of submission of the report by the relevant company to the Commission regarding the credit of right shares, and the Commission must be informed accordingly.
This order shall come into effect immediately.
