Directive PI/MAF/DIR/03/2017 on Late and Non-payment of Medical Aid Fund Contributions
The Trustees of all registered Medical Aid Funds are directed to ensure contributions are paid timeously, actively collect arrear contributions including interest, and strictly enforce fund rules regarding arrears. Trustees must inform the Registrar on the 15th day of every month, commencing 25 August 2017, of any late or non-payment of contributions. Additionally, Trustees must ensure that relevant members are properly informed of any late payment or non-payment of their contributions within two months from the date the contribution became due.
