Disposal of foreign loan/supplier’s credit proposals of private sector enterprise
The second paragraph of FE Circular No. 16 of April 6, 2021 is amended to allow eligible importers to submit applications to BIDA for extension of usance period or refinancing for permissible deferred imports with credit exposure beyond one year. BIDA will consider these requests within the purview of the stated notification based on the decision of the 145th meeting of the Scrutiny committee on foreign loan/supplier’s credit in private sector. Applications must be submitted to BIDA at least one month before the maturity of the concerned deferred imports. This modification applies to importers registered with BIDA or the Department of Textiles.
