The document mandates the immediate live operation of the new Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) system for the management of Government Securities, replacing the existing Market Infrastructure (MI) module. It explicitly repeals the directives contained in DMD Circular No. 06/2011 dated October 26, 2011. All scheduled banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh, excluding Shariah-based entities, are required to conduct all operations related to Government Securities, including auctions, repos, and secondary market transactions, through the new FMI system.
