DOS Circular Letter No. 16: Keeping Hajj activities related bank branches open on 28 May 2022
The Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank directs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to keep a necessary number of branches open on 28 May 2022 to facilitate Hajj-related activities. This directive is issued under Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, following instructions from the Ministry of Religious Affairs dated 26 May 2022. Banks are required to ensure that these branches remain open after taking necessary security measures.
