Dear Sir,

Regarding the closure of banks in connection with Durga Puja (Vijaya Dashami)

With reference to the Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.008.11-226 dated 11 October, 2015 of the Ministry of Public Administration on the subject cited above, it is informed that the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has declared the general holiday for the upcoming Durga Puja (Vijaya Dashami) on 22 October, 2015 instead of the previously announced 23 October, 2015. Accordingly, all scheduled banks located in the country will remain closed on the upcoming Thursday, 22 October, 2015, in place of the holiday declared on 23 October, 2015 in DOS Circular Letter 28/2014.
