DOS Circular Letter No. 18: Keeping Hajj activities related scheduled bank branches open on 11 June 2022
The Department of Off-Site Supervision of the Central Bank of Bangladesh directs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to keep branches involved in Hajj operations open on Sunday, 11 June 2022, which is a weekly holiday. This directive, issued under Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, requires banks to maintain limited staffing and ensure adequate security for these operations. The order is issued in response to a memorandum from the Ministry of Religious Affairs dated 8 June 2022 to facilitate smooth Hajj management.
