DOS Circular Letter No. 18: Keeping Schedule Bank Branches Closed in Election Areas on 7th August 2016
Schedule banks must keep all branches closed in the specified election areas on Sunday, 7 August 2016, to facilitate voting for the general elections of eight upazila municipalities and the by-election for the Mayor of Naria Upazila in Shariatpur District. The closure applies to branches located in the election areas of Ghoda Ghata, Domar, Galachipa, Lohagada, Ghatail, Sonatala, Bogura, and Pirojpur as listed in the circular. This directive is issued in response to a memorandum from the Ministry of Public Administration regarding the Election Commission's announcement.
