Regarding the declaration of a government holiday on 31 December 2025.

2. Wednesday, 31 December 2025, is declared as a bank holiday. Branches/departments associated with the half-yearly/annual account closing-2025 may remain open at the bank's own discretion.

Through a memorandum dated 30 December 2025 from the Ministry of Public Administration, Serial No.: 05.00.0000.000.175.08.0020.25-30, the government has declared a one-day government holiday on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, in memory of the late former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. Accordingly, all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh will remain closed.
