Draft Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks – Prudential Norms on Capital Adequacy) Eleventh Amendment Directions, 2026
The draft directions propose to amend Chapter VII: Leverage Ratio framework of the Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks – Prudential Norms on Capital Adequacy) Directions, 2025. This amendment seeks to implement the latest leverage ratio framework, referred to as the ‘Leverage Ratio 2017 Standard’, issued by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Comments on these draft directions are invited until August 28, 2026.
