Central Bank of Sri Lanka Operating Instructions No. 35/01/005/0007/12 on Reserve Requirements

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued Operating Instructions No. 35/01/005/0007/12 requiring Licensed Commercial Banks to maintain a 100 percent minimum reserve against specific letters of credit and imports on Document against Acceptance terms. This directive, effective from 16 October 2018, replaces Schedule A of previous instructions and aligns with notifications by the Monetary Board under the Monetary Law Act.
